Bad time for UD redemption cards ?

I'm so done with UD. Check this out for waiting on LaFontaine redemptions. They gave me the same BS about not even having the unsigned cards. I would have taken them unsigned for my pc.

The real kicker is they can't even get the 06/07s signed and they add more redemptions in 08/09..unreal. these i will never trade/buy if I come across.

I just redeemed a 5x7 Lafontaine auto from Masterpieces......does this mean I am likely not to see it?

I've been emailing one of their Customer Service guys this week, regarding an outstanding redemption from 06-07 (Ranford SPGU Lettermarks). There are several cards from that set that were never made (Gretzky & Malkin amoung them).

I was told that they're going to be added to production schedules.... but it may take another 6 months before that happens (and I suppose THEN they'd send them out to be signed).

The word "reprinted" was used in the email though. That tells me that they were likely made... but damaged in production.

Upper Deck's redemption situation is simply unmanageable at this point. The hole is so deep, that even if they suddenly decided to be good corporate citizens, and deliver what they owe their customers, they would have a very hard time being all the way up to date in anything less than 2-3 years. Factor in the massive layoffs that are rumoured to have occurred (anyone have an official source?), and the rumours of financial difficulties/possibly defaulting on debt payments (same question), I just can't see them ever catching up.

This is not even funny! They have Henrik Zetterberg signatures live in 09/10 products yet didn't get his redemption's fulfilled for 08/09 product!!! I requested a replacement after a long time and according to Upper Deck they shipped it March 5th yet I haven't received any replacement card yet. When I called last week the guy said that they mark replacements as being shipped once they pick out the replacement card and not when they actually ship them. He said to wait until April 12th. I still haven't received it. I'm going to wait until Monday or Tuesday before I call them again. Hopefully it is in the mail though but I'm tired of waiting since it has been since November 2008 that I have been waiting for the best hit of my box of 08/09 UD Black that cost $235 CDN for 4 cards!

I redeemed a card back in February, 2009 only to find out this past fall that it was not being produced when I met a couple of Upper Deck reps at the Fall Expo in Toronto. After the show one of the reps stayed in close contact with me and eventually forwarded my situation to another guy at Upper Deck who is now handeling it. While I was quite concerned about the whole situation and the high-end redemption card not being produced, it looks I'm going to end up with a positive outcome. I asked the guy at UD to let me know what he is going to send before he ships it since I didn't want a bunch of mediocre cards totaling the value of what I pulled. Yesterday I got two emails from him with a few cards listed asking if I would be interested in them as replacements and today they are being shipped out since I agreed. Now I'll wait and see if everything turns out as planned.

LOL I forgot about that one too. Waiting on that 5x7 also. I ran into Pat in September and asked him about this issue with UD and lets just say the response was not good. I was hoping they would work something out with him. I doubt it will ever happen with any of the players that haven't signed.

Absolutely untrue.

I waited for almost two years for an Exquisite dual auto logoman from 07-08 Exquisite Basketball with the dreaded "waiting for athletes to sign". I finally called and asked them to please send the card WITHOUT the autos as I would still like the logoman patch card as it was of my two favourite Knicks. Well guess what ?......no can do because the card was never made. So I ask then what have I been waiting two years for? Dead silence followed by some rubbish answer. UD has committed the biggest fraud in the history of frauds and we are still falling for it.

I haven't seen a post ring as true as this in a long time. At least more and more people are starting to wake up.

I truly believe a class action lawsuit would be won by the collectors if ever taken to court, but ud would never pay a dime. They'll go under long before they give back to the collectors even part of what's deserved.

Probably since upper deck owes many if not most of the people that they have had sign cards for them.
