They can't do either of these because of licensing issues, particularly the NHL logo, that is the biggest no no of all.

That would be like Coke putting a Pepsi logo on their cans to help sales. I smell lawsuit.

They MIGHT be able to do something with a SC patch, maybe half of it or something, but not the whole logo.

ITG produces cards with NHL Logos, see all the Made To Order released over the past 2 years with pieces of NHL Logos. The only thing they should NOT do is to write "NHL" on the card. They can put the NHL Logo memorabilia piece as they do on their Made To Order cards. This is why I call this insert set "League Logos". Don't write "NHL", but they can insert anything cut from a game-worn jersey (including the full NHL Logo).

Please Brian create a set "League Logo" insert like this, but with full NHL logo + autograph of the player and we get the "cadillac" card to compete with The Cup!!!! :

I read something bout how ITG cant put helmets in cards because it disintegrates when they cut it, and helmets are very costly. Just thought Id like to bring that up.

Again, I believe they cannot do a full NHL logo, hence why your Ovechkin is cut in half. I am sure Brian can confirm this? Please hold while I page the good doctor....................

The bottom line is I am tired to be obligated to wait for the UD stuff in June/July/August to get some cards with pieces of NHL logos for my collection. Right there you answered your own question. Two HALVES to make a shield on the same card.

Not in the SAME window and not in ONE whole piece. I think by cutting it in half and putting it in two separate windows ITG can circumvent any issues with the league.

Yes... but you know what I want to say. I only want ITG to create NHL Shields Auto 1/1 cards (cut the piece in 2 halves if ITG is obligated to do this to respect the law, and then insert both NHL halves on the card) like their Made To Orders to compete with the best cards of UD Ultimate Collection and UD The Cup. ITG, you can do that!!!!!

Consequently, ITG could create a "Triple Leagues Logos" card with 3 windows including 33% of a CHL logo, 33% of a AHL logo, and 33% of a NHL logo, all on the same card! The possibilities of newest inserts sets with combination of various patches are tremendous.

I like that idea, pretty sweet if they can find the logos and players from all 3 leagues.

Or any combination of 3 or 4 special patches or tags.

I know Drifter mentioned the Triple Gold Club. That would be an amazing subset.

I thought of a couple subset names/ideas that are different.

"Roots" pairing players from the same hometown? Like Hometown Heroes from Ultimate 5 or years ago?

"Finish Line" with players who are retired?

Or focus on a players specific talent?

"Master Blasters" for guys with big slap shots? Chara?

"Flick o' the Wrist" for guys with a great wrister? Sakic?

"Wrecking Balls" for gritty little grinders, players like Clutterbuck?

"Hammer Time" for guys who hit like trucks? Scott Stevens?

"Thinking Outside The (Penalty) Box" players who are rarely penalized and play a great game, Byng candidates like Datsyuk.

"The Bomb Squad" Tough guys who throw big punches. Probert, Domi?

"Puck on a String" players with ridiculous stickhandling abilities. Kovalev?

"Silver Platter Service" the best passers in the game, guys who put it "on a platter" for a finisher. Forsberg, Thornton?

"Seal the Deal" patches of players from the team they were on to the team they got traded to.

"Closing Time" players who come up big in OT.

just a small suggestion.....i would LOVE to see a huge piece of the blade from the skate with eric staals auto directly on the blade....we've seen this with sticks...why not metal
