Not just yet Karine. Celebrate this great win, but still one to go.
Sure will be. The Pens need to step-it up next game.
Although the difference in this game, besides the fact the habs really came on... in the second and parts of the third - 3 posts, and the refs blowing the whistle way early that prevented another goal. I'd call that luck going the Habs way again, and so far this series, whenever the luck has gone the Habs way, they haven't lost.
Go-go what the heck are you doing? How can you let the Habs Superstar max go around you like that? Here's a thought, in a one goal game, instead of trying to make a big hit, like Orpik, stay on your side of the ice and just play D! A loss is a team thing, and shouldn't be pinned on one player, but that was a terrible play on his part.
Call to the Pens fan - bench Go-Go for game 7 and play Mckee? You lose offense, but then Go-Go isn't exactly doing anything well in his own end...I'd rather prevent goals than have him score them, since Letang (5) and Gonchar (3) are doing enough scoring from the blue line.
And someone please find an answer to Cammy. He's lighting us up like Ovy did last year...so here's hoping the result is the same...we get lit up by one player, but still win!
And a final thought...nothing is more exciting in the entire world of sports than a game 7 in the cup playoffs. C'mon Pens, make me proud!

Habs are no joke. Pittsburgh sportswriters were debating whether the Pens would sweep the Habs or win in 5 games. Our sportswriters are idiots. Hats off to the Habs, even if you all got the benefit of a mighty quick whistle in the first.
Note to Pens fans: Remember last time someone beat us in a game 6 to force a game 7? Oh yeah, last year's Washington Capitals. I think we all know how that shook out.
Going to be a fun/insanely nervewracking next 48 hours.

I got to give some props to Habs fans and the Bell Centre. The atmosphere was electric, unlike in the Igloo where the fans are fast asleep or something. Always nice to watch a game where the fans are in it in every save, hit, shot-off-the-post, goal, etc.

That's an understatement. These guys are such homers, weaned on Super Steeler milk, and objective reporting is... not their thing. The things they write are either inflamatory or blinded with fanatical optimism. I tend to avoid their musings. Good reporting in the burgh regarding sports is generally one sided, typical of any city. Ever here of Mike Lupica? he's done some nice work. What about Howard Esken? Super DB at the other end of the spectrum! No pun intended (Spectrum)... Weird that Mike Madden is the sane voice in Pittsburgh sports media... wait - did I just say that?
"Soylent Green is now being served in the main cafeteria" - {echoes from the PA system at the Tribune}

The Bell Centre is a special place... not typical of any place else. The fans are generally regarded as the most knowledgable in the game. The most storied history, most championships, etc. They cheer for or against every single play. That just doesn't happen everywhere. It is awesome to see the reactive crowd and hear them on TV ... my bucket list would include a game there for sure.
However I don't agree with your assessment of the Igloo, having been there a time or two...
game 5 was no sleeper. The triple OT vs. the Sens was a riot till the end. People where hoarse! It was fun to be there though. Even with the loss. As far as Hockey in Pittsburgh, lets just say this ain't Glendale... (no offense to real Coyote fans). It cost $200 a seat just to get on the season ticket waiting list and it could be a while. I'm telling you that with a new arena opening next year, a cup last year, this town is a hockey town. This years cup parade was comparable to the Steeler Super Bowl parade and the Steelers are a religion in Pittsburgh. Long hockey history here that most people don't know about dating back to 1915. Hoby Baker played in an All Star type game here in 1917. In 1925 the Pirates(NHL) where the 7th NHL franchise to join the league. Other teams came and left Pittsburgh over the years but thanks to Mario the Pens are here 43 years, hopefully for good.
I was at Mellon the first night after the Olympics and the place was insane. Ryan Miller, Orpiks, Gonchar, Malkin, Crosby, and others, all honored as Olympians. The place cheered LOUD for all of them. Crosby even got a jovial ribbing type boo (yes he got booed in Pittsburgh - *gasp*), when his GW Olympic OT goal was replayed on the monitor, followed by a resounding ovation. Later that night I watched the replay on FSN. You could hardly hear the noise of the crowd. It's like that most nights, due to the sound equipment and the acoustics of the arena. But when your there you know its loud.
