Simply amazing. This team was expected to be the first team eliminated. Nobody gave them a snowball's chance against the mighty Capitals, and even after that miracle nobody gave them a chance against the Champs. Well, there's an aura of destiny going on right now...and thank goodness we at least get a couple nights off now while we wait for the Bruins & Flyers to stop killing each other.

As for Malkin he wasnt at his best but to me, the guy deserves respect for past performances just like Sid.

Agreed. Malkin/Sid/Fleury/Staal gets a free pass in my opinion.

While I do agree with that comment, the sport is very much "what have you done for me lately." And lately Geno, you were invisible. And not just invisible, but making poor choices with the puck...

At the end of the day, the guys that get paid the big bucks on this team didn't perform to their paychecks (well, since they don't get paid in the playoffs...that's not quite accurate, but...)

...there's always next year.

Although really, the blame should be put where it belongs. On that darn Cammy jersey!!

As for cheering for the Habs. It's all justified in having no affiliation with any other team remaining...so why not cheer for the team that beat my guys to win it all? At least then we could look back and say we were beat by the best team...or the Cup winner, however you want to phrase it. Not much comfort in that, but at least better than nothing.
