    Harder find?

What is the harder (rarer) card of these two.

    Pavel Datsyuk premier rookie /250
    or
    Marian Gaborik titanium rookie /99

Not based on book value but what is the more rarer find in this case. Thanks! I need to make a decision soon lol.

The serial numbers tell you that. There's almost 2.5 times more copies of the Datsyuk than Gaborik.

I would say that while serial numbers say one thing, Datsyuk has a larger group of collectors vs. Gabby. I know Gabby has many collectors, but there are Datsyuk collectors and the many Red Wings collectors. However, I honestly don't know which might be tought to find.

I'd say take the Datsyuk and then trade it to me loll !

flemingc04 has a really good point, there's a lot of Datsyuk & Red Wings collectors, so maybe harder to find because of that, even though there's more copies.

I'd go with the Gabby being harder to find. /250 is tough, but /99 is even tougher.

The gabby I'd say is a way tougher find. But I must admit the Datysuk is pretty darn close to tough to find as well....

This is a funny question. However, the datsyuk has 250 copies in there world and the Gaborik has 99 copies in the world.

The answer would be the one with the 99 copies, therefore the Gaborik /99 is rarer.

What is the harder (rarer) card of these two.

    Pavel Datsyuk premier rookie /250
    or
    Marian Gaborik titanium rookie /99

I know a couple of people have talked about how 250 is bigger than 99, so its less rare. There are other issues at play though.

How many hardcore Gabby collectors are there vs Datsyuk. I know quite a few hardcore gabby, but only a couple of hardcore Datsyuk. Gabby was recently moved to a new team and some collectors might let him go after that. Datusyk is still strong in Detroit.

Age plays a factor. The older the card, generally the harder it is to find. Gabby is a 00-01, but Datsyuk is a 01-02. If you asked the 250 Datsyuk Premier RC vs say... a 09-10 Ice Kane Rc /99, I'd say the Kane is easier to find.

Also, there's the issue of product being broken, I don't know much about this era of cards. Someone will else will have to speak of this though.

If Titanium was heavily broken, we can expect 90% of the 99 RC are in the market. If Premier was lightly broken, maybe we can only expect about 30% of its 250 RC to be in the market. That would make 90 copies of the Gabby in circulation vs 75 copies of the Datsyuk. I don't know enough about either of these sets to make a call.

When in doubt, check the bay.

    In the past 30 days, 2 gabby's:

In the past 30 days, 1 Datsyuk:

    Rarer? Datsyuk ATM.

    Good luck with either card.

    Cheers,
    reoddai
