I'm chilled. Please don't be concerned about that.
No I do not work for them. I know so much because I ask questions to the right people in a respectful manner that induces polite reponses instead of voicing misinformation on discussion forums. That and during my tours of UD's facilities, these things were explained to me.
It is always my pleasure to share infomration, so you are very welcome.

Look Jeremy, I am not here to argue or cause problems. I am not sure where I was misinformed because we all know for years that redemptions are in almost every product. What I am saying is why do we have to be subjected to 2-3 months delays for almost EVERY product that comes out? OK, so more realistically there are 5-10 players they are waiting for. They have had auto's in most of the other products released this year so why can't UD just post an honest response to all the facebook questions saying "we ran out of Crosby autos"? I think most people would be like ok, we can wait another 4 weeks for that. Instead they are probably waiting on Vesa Toskala and Nathan Horton and just using it as an excuse. I know you have good connections but do you really think they are 100% honest with you with the way UD's fate is written on the wall right now?
It's just a hobby for us so I really don't care either way but enough is enough already. Time for some transparency with them if they want our hard earned money.
Just my 2 cents so take it for what you will.

I see both sides of it- but it is mere speculation to assume they are waiting on X number of players to return autographs, based on autos in other releases. SP Authentic is all on card autos so it is different from the products already released.

Personally, I'm going to buy any boxes, so I'm not concerned.
However, I don't see this as such a bad thing even with the delays in mind (which still appear to be unconfirmed). With a few less redemptions (especially on common autos) of some of the biggest players (which as somone suggested could be from Philly or Chicago), makes things more efficient for everyone. Why? Because UD would have that many less redemptions to fulfill and therefore less phone calls will be made from customers to UD, and less complaints would be made via Facebook, etc. That means more time can be put towards other customer service related issues. In the end it's win-win for both sides and while some are unhappy right now, it's a lot less than how many could be unhappy. Many people won't see much of a difference, but if UD waits another couple of weeks saves them from dealing with a few extra thousand incomming phone calls, redemptions, complaints, and outgoing packages, it can only help.
Besides, like 30ranfordfan said, "this should be taken as a relief, to all the people complaining in the BAP thread, about too many releases all at once."

I was just about to post the new date. I'm really hoping that it stays on the 16th. There is a big card show here in Houston that weekend, and it would be nice to have some new traders to bring around. Have a case on order. I just have to be patient, I guess.

With people having fear to not have their cards back from UD and with redemption cards going for low prices, this situation is perfect for people having contacts at UD. You only have to call your contact at UD to see if a card is in stock, then you buy the redemption card at discount and you send it to your contact at UD, you got the redeemed card super fast from UD, and then you can re-sell the redeemed card at big price. Who said it was a problematic situation?

You are correct. Credit cards (or any form of payment for that matter) are taken at time of order. Has been frustrating...but what can we do?

Next time, take advantage of their down payment only for cases ($200 to reserve your case)
