You're looking at $30 shipping to Canada, or $40 for express shipping. I took the cheaper option, and they actually called me and warned me - pay the extra $10, so yuo don't have to deal with brokerage fees (which would be another $30).

I had to pay COD taxes too though. Just over $50 when it was dropped off.

They're very easy to deal with. It's expensive, but really nice. Worth it IMO.

I paid $40 for shipping (that's going to be standard) but then the taxes are going to be based on whatever your normal PST + GST (or HST??) are.

Ontario we've got 8% PST, and obviously the 5% GST (switching to 13% HST July 1). I had to pay 13% on the sale price, so it worked out to just a hair under $52.

Despite the fact that you're buying mail order from the USA - you WILL pay Canadian Sales Taxes on it.

No problem. The taxes came as a bit of a surprise to me (I say 'a bit' becuase I really wasn't that surprised).

I was lucky, and someone was home to pay the man when he showed up..... otherwise I would have had to do a bit of running around to get it.

No, shipping is calculated during checkout. So, you pay everything all at once to MeiGray. If there are any brokerage/customs fees, then yes, you do have to pay the postman.
