Is that going to change after July 1st, though? I know that there's the federal GST rebate, but hopefully you guys will start getting the HST once that kicks in. I need to know this sort of thing so that when we move back home how much extra cash I can count upon. LOL

I too would rather not have the HST and the government keep their $100. It boggles my mind even more that married couples get $330 and individuals get $100. Yet individuals don't have a partner to share costs with, and therefore pay more for things like utilities.

I think I might buy a few singles. Doubt I would break any wax, but I'm sure I'll buy some packs of SPA when/if it's released.

Its government trying to enact their public policy.

The message here is, find someone who loves hockey cards as much as you & get hitched.

We haven't received anything here yet and knowing the government, likely wont. But wasn't singles $300 and couples $1000

I highly doubt you will receive anything i believe its for low income people, 40-45k and under.Unless your a autonome worker and got a solid accountant.

actually the higher income bracket that you are in the more money you get. Its not much but still BC won't be getting anything.

That's what it seems like. Technically my gf and I could claim as common law couple but we still submit our taxes as individuals and not as a couple. Even if we did file together as common laws, I would think the government would still send us the 3 payments of $100 each rather than 3 payments of $330 collectively.

As for marriage, we've been together for a while and living together for 3 years...I just haven't jumped to the next step
