Lol. Malkin doesnt sell for that much. Yeah its a 1/1...still a sticker auto.
One of the biggest collected sets??? Mmmm not really.
Last week a dude wanted to buy a Malkin/Lemieux Dual auto jersey /5 from SPGU and didnt want to pay more than 250$ and other people agreed with him.
So you really think that this 1/1 will sell for more than 1000$ ?!?!?
Will believe it when ill see it.

A SP to 17 of some no name scrub in last years Contenders Football sold for 2500 because of set collectors, it was also a sticker auto. Never underestimate set collectors and what they will pay to complete it.

There's a BIG difference between a confirmed SP and a confirmed 1/1. Set collectors may not go all out on a SP because they know more than likely one will show up again. However, when they KNOW it's a 1/1, they'll go nuts. There are guys out there who do the BAP set every year, imagine the prestige of knowing you have the ONLY POSSIBLE COMPLETE BAP SET. It's vanity insanity.

Yeah i agree.
But do you think they could have quit trying to complete the set once UD has confirmed there was only 1 Malkin? Or you think they all will go crazy and get it?
Well yeah...might go for a crazy price, but id rather get a way higher malkin or w/e for the price it will sell for lol

You'd rather...some set collectors wouldn't rather. It only takes two collectors with deep pockets to start a bidding war. Not only people looking to complete the set, but also I'm sure there's a few hardcore Evgeni Malkin collectors out there that are all wanting his 1/1's.
Would I go nuts for the card? No, but I'm not a set collector, or a Malkin collector. If Chris Pronger's BAP auto in this set was a 1/1, would I be willing to drop BIG bucks to get it? You bet your sweet bippy I would.
Different strokes for different folks.
