The Suns?? LOL...and how many rings does Steve Nash have!!! I may be a Spurs fan...and have the norm grudge against the Mavs/Lakers/etc; but I just feel sorry for the guy. You may have F-I-N-A-L-L-Y beat us this year....but still can't have much to brag about, huh?!?
Look, you can dislike any player and/or team...but when he/they have the Rings to show and the Banners raised, you can't deny their talent.

I never said Tim Duncan was talentless, just that he got a huge hobby buzz early in his career because he was lucky to play with the Spurs.
If Duncan was drafted by the Bucks he would have been another Emeka Okafor.
Even if I hate the Spurs, you cant argue the fact that Tim Duncan has a diminishing hobby value, while guys like Nash and Amare are still valuable and collected.

Duncan, Amare, and Nash all have diminishing hobby value compared to guys like Kobe and Durant, but they are all still widely collected despite that because of hardcore fans. I don't have any more trouble unloading Timmy D than I do Nash, Stoudemire, etc.
And Tim Duncan's way better offensively than Okafor ever will be, please...

WOWOWOW........Do you watch NBA at all?????????????????
You should look at Spurs before Duncan. They got an injuried David Robinson, and the team was DEAD. Duncan brought the team alive and was the main guy right away.
Even he was in Bucks, he would play with Terrell Brandon, Glenn Robinson and Ray Allen. Duncan probably can go to NBA Final every year. It was not lucky, Duncan is so good that he turns the team to be a winner.Last edited by xavieronly1; 06-24-2010 at 10:04 PM.

Again never said Duncan was as good or worse offensively then Okafor.
I was using Okafor as an example of hyped Center/Big Man that has skill but never broke through the hobby or will never get alot of accolades because of the bad teams he played for.
Xavier - ok Bucks had Allen, Brandon, etc. Lets say he went to the LA Clippers or at that time league worst Denver Nuggets. Do you think he would be close to as popular as he is now???
NO WAY
More important then the players Duncan played with is the coaching and organization.

As a SAN ANTONI-AN, I can say that this is true. NO TRUE SPURS FAN wouldn't suck it up to say that without Duncan, we were hopeless. He brought new life to this team--INSTANTLY. Had Robinson not been banged up, the record reduced to crud...then we wouldn't have gotten so lucky as to draft Timmy. I just had to agree there, cause he was a blessing!!!

Clippers still have Brent Barry (played with Duncan later, too), Rodney Roger, Lamond Murray. Pretty sure Duncan can make this team to go to playoff.
And Denver may not have any roaster in 1997-98, but in 99-00, they got Nick Van Exel, Ron Mercer, McDyess (again, play with Duncan). And you are saying Duncan can't make this group of people into playoff??
Funny how you give credit to Duncan's coach, players around him, and organization, and yet you still think Duncan is not the main reason why the team is so successful in last 12 years.
Spurs is not a big market. Spurs didn't market him or make him to be future-HOF. Duncan is the only reason why people think Spurs is still top 3 team every year in West coast.
And not to mention, Duncan is named to All-NBA team every year, and you still tell me he is lucky??????????????? Come on.

I'm a pretty big Suns fan and I can admit Tim Duncan is a top 3 PF, if not the best PF to ever play the game of Basketball.

not to mention the Spurs have made 13 consecutive playoff appearances....a record. even with seasons like this one, where we BARELY missed our chance (at gettin in)....we'd be no sort of contender without him.
I doubt we'd have ANY of the 4 titles (in 9 years) if Duncan wasn't on our team.
