Joe Johnson to Knicks... cmon....
I'll preface this by saying it was on the ESPN newswire so chances are its all bs.
Knicks are preparing to offer Joe Johnson a MAX deal??? Theyre meeting with him at midnight on July 1... this is bad... very bad.
I know the chances of Lebron are very slim, but Joe Johnson is not deserving of a max deal... Hes a nice player, but should not get max money sorry.
Its going be Allan Houston all over again for us Knicks fans. Its obvious the Knicks are quickly fading out of the Lebron race and they're moving in on the backup plans.
Skip Johnson and sign Amare.... then go for Chris Paul after 2010!!!! PLEASE!!!

Hahahahahaha!
Right when the Knicks made the move for T-Mac and gave them the room for two max contracts, I said (on here) the Knicks will end up with Boozer and Joe Johnson as their max players.

Dont be down on Joe Johnson, hes way better than any player the Knicks have had since prolly Ewing.
If you cant get one of the big 3 free agents or Stoudemire, he's the next best.
He knows D'Antoni and can bring some solid vet status to the Knicks.
I would be happy!

I can see them getting Joe Johnson if they swing and miss on Bosh and Lebron.

Joe isn't old but he's definitely not max money material. There's so much that doesn't fit with him in NY. I've heard the name Allan Houston all day today on the radio.....from NY fans.
