Collecting after your PC player has been traded

I'm not contemplating stopping collecting his cards if he is traded in case you're wondering. Just wanted a general idea of what everyone else did. Because I think I noticed a couple of people on here did stop.

I started collecting Gagne because of the player, and followed the Flyers before he was drafted by them.

I just cannot see Gagne in another jersey, I just hope that he doesn't get moved to the Devils if they fail in re-signing Ilya. That would be too hard to bear!

There are several people who have also stopped collecting their player as well. I find in those cases it's usally because their heart wasn't really set on the player as much as it was on the team, or the player didn't pan out to be a top player which the collector anticipated when they began their PC. Personally, I don't get it because some people go back and start a new collection of a player only to dump it just like the last collection for the exact same reason (player changed teams or isn't going to be the next Crosby/Doughty/Brodeur). It's like continously walking through the same door that always hits you on the way out.

Lol i know he just signed a 4 year extension last week. Now im hoping to add some sick blues patches to the pc. Im hoping that within 4 years UD buys a blues steen jersey but after still seeing hossa thrashers jerseys lately im not holding my breath. Im prayin for some panini steen as well!

If Phil Kessel gets traded or signs to another team other than the Maple Laughs, I'd probably stop...or basically collect only cards of him wearing a Leafs jersey or his older cards. I'd be disappointed if he goes to another team again that's for sure.

The only way I can see myself stopping with the Price collection is if he goes to Philadelphia.

This is why I stopped Ritola and started with Hudler. Even if Huds moved I'd still collect him. I wouldn't with Ritola.

I would probably stop collecting Callahan if he went to the Sabres, i just hate everything about them....but i would still keep his Rags stuff. I definitely enjoy him playing with the Rags more than anyone else, but if he got moved then i would still collect him.
