Collecting after your PC player has been traded

well I know I'd probably still finish the rookie year stuff for Dubinsky, but I probably wouldn't get any of his new stuff if he got traded to any other atlantic team.

I started collecting Dany Heatley back when he was with the Atlanta Thrashers, I loved watching him play against the leafs because he would always light things up. As much as I liked Hossa, having Heatley play in Ottawa was a dream come true until last years summer of drama. I wasn't upset with him for wanting a trade, I was upset with the way things were handled and really questioned his character.

When I decided to start collecting Erik Karlsson I wanted to make sure what kind of person he was off the rink and I will continue to collect him just as long as he never plays for Toronto.

For me, my PC Guys are Milan Lucic and Blake Wheeler. And I'm very happy that both of them are in the black and gold (Although Wheeler is an RFA undergoing contract negotiations with the B's now).

Lucic - I love this guy... He epitimizes everything I like about a hockey player. Hard working, hard hitting, and can score. And it doesn't matter where this guy plays, I will follow his career. I had the pleasure of watching one of his first games ever in a Bruins Uniform.

Wheeler - Another Big guy who can be physical and has a TON of potiential to be a prolific scorer. Mr. NCAA, I've been a fan since his days with the Golden Gophers. When he was drafted by the Bruins, I was so excited. If he stays with the Bruins or move on, I will also collect this player.

I would collect both of my bigger PC's even if they moved...oh wait that happened.

Dustin Tokarski-- My collection of his started because of the 09 World Juniors. And how much talent he could have. And he was drafted by the Lightning and has promise in their organization. And I will continue to collect him through his rookie year.

Paul Bissonnette-- Is a career minor leaguer/tough guy. But he was on the WBS Penguins, and was one of the top fighters no one has ever heard of. Then last year he was claimed by the Yotes, and I will continue to collect him, pretty much where ever he went.

I stayed the course with all my PC guys.

Jagr went from Pens to Caps to Rangers. I did at one time cheer for the pens. I was not much a Caps or Rangers fan, but still collected him either way.

Palffy from Isles to LA to Pens. I don't mind the Isles. I was ok with the Kings, and didn't mind at all when he got to play with Stumpel there, and I still don't mind the Pens.

Stumpel from Bruins to kings to Panthers. Sorry all you Bruins fans, but I am going to reveal it. Boston is my 30th favourite team in the NHL. Cheered for the player not the team. I was happy he wound up in LA, but indifferent in Florida.

Boyd. I just started collecting him, and he just got traded away already..... Why change my habits? another multi-coloured collection on the way!

Our guys: Steve Shields and Raffi Torres have switched teams quite a bit. We've kept collecting them throughout. What stinks is that the more places they play, the more fans they get and therefore the more competition. So if Gagne gets traded with Boucher to Tampa Bay for Mike Smith and Steve Downie's rights or a pick, then you'll have some Tampa Bay collectors that take a liking to him especially when he starts piling up points with LeCavalier or Stamkos centering him. Ok the trade idea is not an official rumor....just something I think could happen.

I have heard that rumour on the Flyers Board. Wouldn't want Steve Downie back. Heck, I didn't really want Carcillo re-signed if I'm honest.

Gagne would do well down there, like you said with LeCavalier, Stamkos and St Louis. Just hope he doesn't gain more collectors, because I don't think there are many of them out there.

it seems the rumor is Gagne to TB for a d-man and a 4th rd pick.
I've collected my PC Pens players still just not as hard but never disbanded the PC though. But with the ex Michigan players it doesnt matter really matter as much.

95% of the guys I collect are born in or played for the USA. I mostly go after RC's, SP Authentic FW and UD Young Guns, adn the few guys I have more in my PC it wouldn't matter. Shoot I like JVR and we all know that's tough for a Pens fan!
