R these guys really finished?
Tracy mcgrady, yao ming, allen iverson, and gilbert arenas will be back healthy next season and nobody cares. Are these guys done? Are they the next jermaine o'neal or penny hardaway? Will they never be the same after injury or are we just jumping the gun. Their resume's consist of 28 combined all star appearances and 6 scoring titles. So now there done. Why are we so quick to write off players as finished. Gilbert arenas averaged 22.6 ppg last season he's obviously finished, but what about everyone else. Have they reached a bump in the road or the end of it. I'm not going to pretend like i know(like some annalist). I'm just not ready to say they should be sitting on a bench rather than shooting over a star.

IMO...T-Mac and AI are done. Gil and Yao still have all-star level talent left in them.

AI won't be near all-star levels again...T-Mac and Arenas both could, but it's closer to being unlikely than likely...Yao still should have some good years left in him though...

AI is like retired. T-Mac can still get 8pts. Arenas and Yao should be able to get at least 15+ pts. I don't see their games gone right now.

How's Arenas "obviously finished"? He's been working hard during his suspension and most of the offseason, plus he has a real point guard to take the pressure off him.
T-Mac's done, his only real option is to take the minimum to be a bench guy with a team like the lakers. AI's long done, teams won't even touch the guy. Yao is a mystery though. He has talent still, but big men and injuries are never a good thing, I guess it'll be wait and see for him.

None of those guys will ever be close to what they were in their prime.
AI and T-Mac are simply done because of age, and health.
Arenas still has some game and isn't too old but to think he can average 20pts a game through out an entire 82 game season is ridiculous. I would be surprised if he can last half a season without injury.
Yao is going to be slower and more clumsy then ever. I always thought of Yao as the new Shawn Bradley. Of course Yao has more skill then Bradley, but injury always seems to slow down "bigs" to the point where they cant run full court games anymore. I saw this happening to Yao years ago.
The NBA game is always changing, so there are plenty young players ready to jump in and take over where the old guys left off. Im just anxious to see the next T-Mac, AI, and Yao.

Yao could easily make the all star team this year. T-Mac will be an average player. Gilbert is DONE. AI is DONE.

Yao could easily make the all star team this year? What? Yao had a devastating foot injury, that only means bad things for big men. Yao will never return to top form. Heck, even Yao himself said it'll take one full season of playing to even get near top form. AI is done, agree. T-Mac will be nothing more than a part time player, although starter for the Bulls is still possible. Arenas is no shape or form done. Past his prime yes, done no way. He's been working hard all offseason to get back to top form. Plus, having John Wall will only help Arenas, seeing as he doesn't have to worry about point guard duties.
