When I first started out collecting I heard about it, this was when I was like 10. I was curious so I tried it once on a couple packs, didn't hit anything. But I don't believe in pack searching, it's moronic wasting so much time going through tons of retail packs just to get a $2 jersey.

i know thats all that ever happened to me its stupid cause even when you find something its not garunteeed that it will be a good hit

You say most people have admitted to pack searching/ pack searched, but the world is much bigger than you realize. Most don't pack search believe it or not, it's the exception to do so. It's the ones who want to cheat to find a good card to sell. Most collectors love the not knowing what they get in packs, and the excitement of pulling something cool.

I never searched packs, I don't want to have everyone looking at me while I touch hundreds of packs trying to find a $2 jersey card, but, if we were back in '84 and there were topps football cello packs I would check to see if there was an Elway or Marino on top or bottom

also... I don't understand how sellers on eBay know that there is, in exemple a /50 parallel or a specific player RC etc... they're not thicker, heavier or anything... without resealing them... I think i've heard a while back that it works with the barcode?
