Step? Really?
The thread is getting ridiculous because there have absolutely been cards where the patches all look the same and even more where every card in the run is from the same patch. You're overgeneralizing a product based one one card that is essentially a throw in when you look at the big picture.
The thread is also getting ridiculous because of your overzealous behavior. You're acting like this is some sort of argument you're trying to win and freaked out because I referred to the card by it's name, a base patch parallel. You also actually used the phrase, "step."
The overriding problem with this whole thread is the childish title. This is a thread about how you think Panini botched one card out of a whole product, yet the title implies the whole product is garbage. It's just the bland hater speak that's annoying. If you want to have a discussion about something, that's fine. If you want to moan and complain while not getting called out on it, that's another. If you want to actually get something done, try having a constructive conversation about a legitimate problem. I don't think calling it national rejects and telling people to "step" who don't agree with you is the way to go.

I get it, you love NT and have no problem with it...
Fine, move on then (step).
Myself and several others seem to be on the same page about all of this and if we want to whine, gripe, laugh about it so be it.
We've come up with several examples via "constructive conversation" regarding NT's poor execution since the inception of this thread.
Please don't 'overgeneralize' and imply that we are singling out 1 card.
And seriously, you truly want me and everyone else to believe that there have been patch cards produced where every single patch in the print run : looked the same, was placed the same, and was cut from the same area of the jersey?
Do you work for Panini?
Why is this whole thing so personal for you as if we're slandering your own families work and name.

I still can't get over the fact that you actually told me to "step," I can't believe anyone talks like that...
Anyways, let's just clear up everything you have wrong. I like some aspects of NT, and I do not like others. I wouldn't spend my money on it, but I do think it's an overall good product. I am not taking this personally, I was not the one who got up in arms because I referred to the $5 card as a base patch parallel. I can carry on a conversation without exploding and thinking people are out to get me. I am also competent enough to understand that the weaker patches were used on the base patch parallels whereas the nicer ones were saved for the Colossals, Game Day Gears, Timelines, Biographies, etc. And the "several others" who agree with you... I count two in this thread.
Nothing about this thread has been constructive. It's just been complaining by someone who probably isn't even in the NT target demographic. What is your solution for Panini? Water down the patch market even more? Put patches in backwards, upside down, or off-centered just for the sake of variety? Waste patches that would otherwise be on the higher-ticket items on the lower-end base card variations? People complain about the cost, then they complain about insignificant crap like this. Honestly, I'm interested in hearing this.

Off the top of my head...

Yes, there have been other cards where the patches are nearly identical. I could find you examples from all the companies, but I'm not going to spend any time doing so. And again, it's not a big deal. I think what's much worse is the fact that 90% of the 07/08 Exquisite RPAs of Durant are either all green or green with a thin black stripe and all made out of the sleeve/neck-type material. It's a freaking $800+ product, it's one of THE chase cards, and it completely promotes patch faking. It's not the entire print run, but it's a much more troublesome issue.

there is probably a reason they did that. Most likely has something to do with counterfitting.

Hahahaa!
So now it's exploding, "nearly" identical and yet more neckbands/armbands with Panini links/references for examples.
If I wanted to come up with solutions for Panini and their design/marketing flaws I would of joined in on your thread.
Thank G.O.D. for the ignore list button.
