    The holy grail of the baseball card collecting hobby, this is generally the most wanted card with the average collector. Other cards may be rarer or worth more, but everybody wants this one. I could care less about condition on this one, the thing is to just own one. The 1952 Topps Hi Number Mickey Mantle, Topps finest hour. In fact, no matter who is on one of these cards, its great to have an example of the High Numbered Rare Series of Topps first major issue.

    Awesome card, but that's not technically considered a rookie card. Correct?

    Its considered by most people in the hobby to be a rookie, though techinically the Bowman is the first card ever, but since Bowman is not allowed here, the Topps rookie card of Mantle should be.

    However, the ultimate decision is up to the person who is running this thread. If he wants me to replace this card with another one, i have no problem doing that.
