05-06 Sidney Crosby Icon Card?? Help Needed

Hi All,

Haven't been able to find out exactly what this card is other than it was some kind of contest. Does anyone know wow rare these were or does anyone remember seeing one for sale? Looking to find out if it has any kind of value. Any help will be appreciated. I pulled this out of a 2005-06 Upper Deck Series 2 Box.

I would say you have an extremely rare card...
Who knows how many were turned in, and how many are still left in the unopened boxes? ---> No one.

These are extremely rare. As others have said i the past, only 50 were produced and placed into most of the 05-06 product line. (Minus the cup...ect...but most of the boxes I remember seeing the logo.)

As for its value today, it's hard to say. obviously the promotion is long over with, but for some Crosby collectors this could be an odd ball card that has escaped them for many years. I would list it on ebay with a high buy it now/BO and see what kind of offers you get, or just start it at .99 w/ no reserve and see what happens. Either way I wouldn't be shocked if you got $200+ for it.

TheIronHorse4- Thanks for your input, it is much appreciated. I just mailed the card in to COMC today using there 1 month service. Hopefully I can find a home for it there. If not, them I will resort to the bay.

I'd really be surprised if anyone found and sent in all 26...

Looks like at least 6 people completed the contest. I agree Canesice, I would have thought nobody would have completed this.

so I read the "rules" on the site, and basically if you send in one of the 50 cards that you have, you get 2 entries vs. 1. that is it. So the 6 people listed as winners didnt need this card to enter.

See the second paragraph in 2A.

Im not a crosby collector, but if I were, I would view that card as super rare.

Im not a beckett fan, but I think it is worth sending a photo for their comment. I'd be curious if anyone else has ever pulled one and kept it..

I thought about sending this in to Beckett and think I may this weekend.
