Our distributor is in the same boat, Chris. We have zero idea how many we will actually get. We have ordered 6 packs but probably will get 2-3.

I thought the price I was quoted was lower, but Washington has a %9.5 sales tax, so that can go over $2k with that.

Does anyone have any strategy for when to buy singles? How long should one wait for the prices to fall a bit? Will they at all? How long is ebay usually flooded with Cup cards? I dont wanna wait so long that I miss out on the card I want. Any advice!?

Do NOT jump on the first couple of listings. The first guy who puts up a multi-color Tavares RC /99 is going to get $1,500-$2,000. People are MAD when it comes to that sort of thing!
I would give it a couple of weeks, and as the 10-11 releases start making their way into the spotlight, Cup singles will begin to slowly slink into the background. There will still be plenty of demand, but people have short memories when it comes to passing over one year's content for a chance to nab the new stuff.

Completely agree - though with print runs as limited as they are in the Cup, especially at that price point, I would not wait too long as you may never see some of these cards again. Cup singles of the very-rare type are listed and rarely reappear. But if you're looking for a mid-range kind of card, don't rush. Prices always level.
