Mark had mentioned the other day that there was going to be an onslaught. Man oh man, I hope they threw in some free top loaders or one-touches with all those cases. LOL
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Seems a lot of these cards are 150 pt and not the usual 130 pt, just a heads up folks.
Also, lots of grumblings about how terrible the Honorable Numbers look.
I said when I initially saw these cards they failed by not outlining the window swatches with some type of refractive foil and making the swatch windows too small.
I thought the great white area to sign was a major plus on the cards but I agree as well there is a lot of "wasted" space.
Also looks as though the 99 rookies will be a tough pull this year, long odds from the early word coming in from breaks around the country.
This will help them retain value but also makes you wonder how much junk is being put in those tins?

So far for me, nothing too spectacular out of The Cup, but it is only day 1. The Tribute rookies look great, but nothing else has really caught my eye. The /99 rookies look like they will fetch some big bucks! Am I the only one who doesn't hate the Honorable Numbers? I'll second the Drayson Bowman in the Limited Logos/Sig Patches sets is a joke. I had to goggle the guy to find out he played a total of 9 NHL games last year. I have nothing wrong with UD including rookies in the subsets but at least make them notable rookies. We don't need a Drayson Bowman or Petr Vrana every year and I don't think it would kill UD to take a few no names out of these sets. The thing I am most disappointed with so far is the lack of a checklist. There is no way I would/will buy any of this stuff until I see a checklist!

No you're not Kyle. They are the only mem/auto subset I actually like. I think they are sharp and clean.
Also love the Draft Boards again!

Kyle, I think the HN are pretty solid but they needed to tweak the design a little. That window seems to blend too much in the card without an outline and makes the number a bit difficult to read. The swatch should be bigger as well.
I LOVE the huge white area to sign, that is awesome as nothing beats hard signed autos in blue on a white background. That is why the 07-08 Dual Shields sucked, that silver pen on a similar color background............fail.
The Retro rookies are AWESOME! I agree, maybe the best thing in the set so far.
I highlighted (just a wee bit) your best point.
This checklist is either going to be deep with the exception of some of the aforementioned players or it is gonna be packed with scrubs.
With apologies to his family and legion of fans in some obscure corner of the earth, I consider myself a really knowledgeable hockey fan and I had never even HEARD of this Drayson Bowman dude? That's a big no no in your top product.
