Actually, the Lions ALMOST destroyed Eagles with Vick and Green Bay Packers with Aaron Rodgers. It's still interesting how Shaun Hill remains the top passer for consecutive 4 games: http://www.nfl.com/teams/detroitlion...am=DET&id=1540
He is actually breathing at your neck in those close games, man.

I agree. Hill is not their future. Stafford is the far more talented QB.
The one thing that does worry me though is that these shoulder problems for him appear like they could become chronic. He seems like a good guy, and is definitely tough, so I really hope I'm wrong.

If by 'destroyed' you mean losing for failing to make a comeback then sure, lets call it destroying..Like I said Hill can throw for 1,000 yards and 10 TDs this weekend and if Stafford can play in the next game, he would.Hidden Content

Key word in that statement.....almost.
How can you be destroying someone when you are losing the games?

I understand the computation, though not perfect but it is a measuring stick. I could easily have said that favre, flacco and ryan were dumping off their passes too.

Almost doesn't get you much, does it? When Stafford comes back, Shaun Hill will go back to the bench where he belongs. Riddle me this, why didn't NFL teams rush to sign Hill as their starter this offseason? There were plenty of teams looking for QB's and yet not one team signed him as a starter.
By the way, its breathing down your neck, not at your neck.

I guess it comes down to watching the games..Living in Michigan, while not a Lions fan, its the only 1PM games they show, so i'm kinda stuck until the 4PM games start. Hill dumps the ball off unless its a pass to Calvin..honestly thats what happens..he manages the game OK, but thats about it, and the Lions arent exactally in a position with the defense they have, to have a QB who manages games..They need a game changer. Stafford might not be that guy, but i'm sure they'll figure that out once he can stay on the field and be healthy
Although I will say, Shaun Hill has been helping me win a pool i'm in, i give him that much.

Shaun Hill wasn't released by the 49ers. The 49ers GM Scot McCloughan suddenly traded Shaun Hill to the Lions for 7th round pick, before he lost his job to join Seahawks. Rumorly, the purpose of trading Hill away is to prevent Alex Smith's concern about his starting job. I still hope the 49ers regret that trade.

I've watched every snap of every game for the lions this season, and i can say I can't wait until Stafford is back after the bye week. Shaun Hill is not a great decision maker. We will win a lot more games when Hill has a clipboard in his hand

That is because you're afraid to lose money on your Stafford collection.
