thank you! looking forward to an update on the canfield/stroughter collections!
my goal was to reach it by the end of the year, but I don't think thats being realistic anymore, unless there is someone else who is hoarding Matt Ware cards, which at this point is HIGHLY unlikely. now I think I have switched the goal to my birthday, March 20, 2011, or at least the end of March when I update my thread! that gives me 6 full months to get 252 cards, which means I have to average 42 cards a month... yikes!
the realist/pessimist in me says May or June now...

OCTOBER update time!
A slow month in terms of numbers, but it was one of those "quality over quantity" months for sure. Matt's cards are just trickling in at this point. Like I mentioned in another post earlier in the month, I think I am adjusting my goal date for the big milestone of 3,000 cards. I think my birthday month, March, will be the month that card number 3K comes in. I guess we will all see what happens in the April 2011 update! And, oh yeah... ADDED A NEW 1/1!!! To the numbers:
15 cards received in October 2010. 12 different cards out of 15 total adds a little variety to the mix. Picked up a few cards this month that I don't see a whole lot of, and now I sit 237 cards away from 3K!
15 cards added October 2010 (2,763 total)
11 RC cards added October 2010
9 serial numbered cards added October 2010
6 serial numbered RC cards added October 2010
HIGHLIGHTS:
How about a BRAND NEW 1/1!!! Finally found one of these:
2004 Upper Deck Vintage Parallel Master Player Printing Plates CYAN 1/1
I definitely overpaid for it, but ever since I lost out on one because I was trying to be a little cheap, I've realized that 1/1's don't surface every day. If only money was no object...
Not many other rare ones, but a few nice cards.
2004 Bowman Uncirculated White #184 (/165) - my 20th of 165.
2004 UD Finite HG #217 (/275) - his toughest RC, and my 22nd of 275.
MILESTONES:
Other than a 1/1, not much else. But hey, I got a new 1/1. So there!
Thanks for everyone who checks this, and for those of you that continue to look for me at your local LCS's. I've said it before, but this board has been such a great part of my 7 year collecting journey, and I really do appreciate it.
If you have any PC needs and you just can't seem to find them, I am based in L.A. with a ton of LCS's, big and small, and would love to help in any way I can.
See you after Thanksgiving!

Congrats on your 1/1. Yeah, sometimes you realize you just have to overpay on those. Otherwise you might not see it again until a few years. In anycase I'm sure it's well worth it!
