Who was your first IP autograph?
It was a very long time ago for me. I was a kid and our local department store had brought in a member of the Detroit Tigers to sign autographs. We just happend to be there and my mother waited long enough for me to get an autograph of Walt Terrell. He was a former Mets player! I could not tell you today what happend to that signed photo, but it was the very first autograph I had ever gotten in person. He was very polite to me and as a kids I remember thinking his arms were huge. I know it was not a big named player for me, but I was wondering who your first IP autographs were from?

My first in person auto was from Walter Payton. I lived in Chicago in 1990. I dont remember where it was, but he was very friendly, and signed an 8x10 and a card i had of him. My mom has them put up, and i figure thats the safest place for them.

I got some red barons (phillies aaa) when I was very young. When I was 12 I got the first auto that I remember- Jason michaels at a phillies game. He was very nice to us before the game. I got him on a ticket and I still have it- I framed it up matted with a rookie card.

My first In-Person Autograph was Rickey Henderson. I was about 8 years old I he was next to Don Newcombe. I had no clue who they were. Rickey asked me what did he want me to sign, He was so polite and I loved him as a player. He signed everything I had, then Don Newcombe asked me would you like me to sign your stuff and I said NO! (STUPIDLY NAIVE THE CHILD I WAS)

Rickey must have been trying to bang your mom or something bc that's the exact opposite of every encounter with Rickey I've ever heard of.
Either way that's sweet!
