New Nationwide rules

Now drivers must choose which championship they want to run for. I think it's a good change.

not surprised-and it seems like a good rule to me-and I like that they can still run in the series-just not win the championship. Now that this is done I wish theyd have something in place for the champion to move up-a contract with a team or something-sort of like what Indycar does with Indy Lights champions-and then let the driver decide if they want the oppurtunity to move up.

If Keselowski decides to go for the Sprint Cup Championship, then he can just go for wins in the Nationwide Series, and not have to worry about the points!

But, at the same time I think this is BULLCRAP!!
If youre say, Carl Edwards or Kyle Busch, and youre NOT competing for the Nationwide Championship but Brad Keselowski is, then they will be able to dump the driver if they want, and not have points deducted, since it wont matter anyway, and could totally screw up the point for the eligable driver who IS running for the Championship........
Basically, they have nothing to lose (except for $ and pride) for dumping someone.

Well, some low-budget Cup guys run NNS, so they might still wanna run Cup, but try to win the NNS championship

Exactly.

Keselowski made $1.1 million in the Nationwide Series this past year. Nemechek made $2.5 million in Cup this past year with only one finish better than 38th all season.
