Yea, I think most of them do have contracts with upper Deck etc. Becuase I have seen some players, right after the game take their Jerseys off, and someone their is waiting to take it directly from them.
But Finals Jersesys and All Stars you are possibly right, maybe they would like to keep but the contract may lock them into selling, Not exactly sure how it works.
I am sure some Are LEgit, But I do Wonder about the authenticity about some.

Oh and another thing is patches.. You see patches of guys like magic johnson and wilt or other old time players... And at least what ive noticed sparingly is if you watch games from back in the late 80's early 90's it seems they didnt have patches on the jerseys and the numbering and logos were more screen print looking.. So idk bout those either

Your Right they are more of a Screen Print or Label Type on Jersey Specifacally the number, And I have Yet to See A SINGLE Card that represents this.. That is odd, I know Most of the Jerseys were PAtches, but not see see one like the screen print is odd. Unless they chose not to use those Jerseys..

I can recall one that i seen of an older player "patch" of Isiah Thomas from I think 04-05 ultimate that looked to be a screen print patch.. I've also seen a few like that in football cards of some old greats.

I would like to see one if possible, in their defense there probably werent many of them or as many saved for jerseys back then.

here is a bunch of thomas'. But ive seen wilt patches that were like patches of today which is a little mind boggling.

I think the real old ones like wilt etc were made like they are today, they were sewn I think actual patches, The screen printing is relatively new, and was probably only around for the late 1980's and Early 1990's. This could be why we do not see alot.

ANOTHER POINT I Almost Forgot About: 2009-10 Panini brand cards Had Blake Griffin Game USED CArds In Them!?
2009-10 Panini cards were on the market on store shelves the first week of the NBA Season, which Blake Griffin had Never played a Single NBA Game, but HE HAS Game Used Jerseys in PANINI Products??????

How possible..? That was one reason I was turned off by Panini Brands... No way possible for it to have been used in an NBA Game. Griffin Game used cards have been on Ebay for for like a year before he played even 1 game!!!?

Griffin played in all 8 preseason games in the 2009-10 season.

Yes I know but The cards almost always say Used in an official NBA Game, also arent most of the Pre season Games in The Thin practice like mesh Jerseys? Without patches?
