That card was not inserted into Pro Set packs... Its probably a QVC special released by Score Board at some time.

Is it embossed with a stamp anywhere. Scoreboard did that.

I don't remember the Score Board "buy-back" autos being numbered though.

the score board buy back autos were forgerys made by some thieves in the pacific with a stolen embossing stamp.
The proof is that upper deck, topps, and donruss would never allow another company to put their autos in packs.
Unfortunately, a lot of people fell for the scam and bought forgerys.
Its also unfortunate that people still think they are real autos.

I did not say it was a pack inserted card. I said it was sold through QVC. Before it bought the Classics brand, Scoreboard sold and released hundreds upon hundreds of autographs thorugh QVC. They tended to come in thick plastic held together by a base with the players name, card and matching number on it.

I have no doubt that some of the scoreboard buy-back autos were faked - but some were inserted into packs. Here is the evidence:
http://cgi.ebay.com/1997-Scoreboard-...item255d8cf485
Firstly, there are Topps, Upper Deck cards that were inserted in packs (I bought some packs that had a crappy Topps card of Jeff George in it I think) and the box clearly shows non-scoreboard cards available (just like tristar treasures today include topps, upper deck, playoff cards in their boxes). The box also clearlys states in the yellow circle near the bottom "Plus look for autographed vintage cards".
So again, I have no doubt there were forgeries, but scoreboard did insert some of these "buy-back" autos in boxes.
