Exactly what I was going to say.
If someone says "Well, it wasn't really that bad, I think you're underestimating the value of card X" then fine....
But i could start off a break thread by saying "This is the worst box break of my entire life" and there would be a couple of comments say "nice break!" just like there will always be comments saying "I'm interested in this card" despite the fact that your first post clearly stated it's not for trade.

If I get worse than possibly imaginable, I post a complaint thread, but just not good, I let it go. I also don't need to rub it in, someone knows they got hit and saying "ah your break sucked!" might turn them off to ripping overall. Last two boxes I broke of SPGU, and got the " Nice hits" post. I spent $310 on them and sold off the goods for a total of $50 on eBay. I thought I'd get a good chunk back on what I'd spent and buy some more boxes. The last Eller sold for $116 and mine sold for $6.50. I can't win with UD, so I don't buy anymore.

I really don't have any problems with it all. I'd rather get some response then none. This is a great community and I have no complaints.
I will admit though that I find people who on every single thread, whether show-n-tell or box breaks, post something like "great break, some nice hits". That can get a little annoying but it's really not a big deal.

It is annoying that people have so many cookie cutter responses and will post "good break" or "nice cards" on every thread. Im in the group that would rather no response than a lazy, thoughtless one. I mean Ive had breaks that were TERRIBLE by all measures and had 4-5 people (the same people every time) respond as such and it is a bit irritating. If I post in a thread, I make sure I at least tailor to that thread in some way and dont respond the same to every single thread. To me thats worse than no Post

Whenever anyone opens a box and does not get a big hit then they assume that they had a bad box. In reality almost every hit could be traded away or sold for cards that you would rather have.
Say that you opened a box of Series One and had six common Young Guns and two common jersey cards and a bunch of non SP'd inserts.
Well a lot of people collect Young Guns and you could most likely trade them off at $10BV a piece and the jersey cards could get traded at $10 a piece for them. I am talking within the first few months of release. Then the inserts just bulk them together and trade them all for a common jersey or auto of a PC player or a player of your favorite team. So all in all you most likely got about $90 worth of cards for trade.

Greetings:
What I think is sometimes good justice or karma for some is when they open a box just hoping for the big hit and they pull a GUed 1/1 and its a white swatch then they complain about it but I am saying shoot dont complain its not your fault sure it maybe white but still think of people that player collections they like it even if you dont. Me on the other hand pulled a GUed 1/1 and it was a white swatch I would be happy for one its a 1/1 second no matter if its not big time players like Zetterberg or Malikn or Nash or even the Sedin Twins its just something to be happy about. Another thing is I hate as well when it comes to box breaks someone complains they didn't get the right amount of cards all I can say it says on the box perhaps this box on averages yields 2 GUed per box on average is the key words there folks. So man up take what ya can out of the break if ya dont like what came from it post on SCF here tell people they can what they want from it and make a trade so ya can get your stuff thats my take on box breaks."Any ballplayer that doesn't sign Autographs for little kids Ain't an American. He is a Communist"-Rogers Hornsby on Signing an Autograph as a Manager in 1942 with the St. Louis Browns.

I don't expect to make money when breaking, just hope for it. When I buy a $600 4 box pack and sell it all for $75. I'm PO'd. They also give a 'minumum average hits' i ecpect some of them are going to be nobodies. When "I get 1 auto in a box that says 4 on the cover, thats not right.
