if they woulda tried to get artest and bynum for lebron things might have been different

One problem with that theory....the Lakers were never interested in trading for LeBron.

They did try to get Artest two years ago in free agency. He wouldn't come to Cleveland because Lebron wouldn't commit to the Cavs.

Artest is in no position to bargain, like that, he is soo lucky to have the contract that he has now in his position. He will not be vital in winning a championship.
Artest is and can be a good player, but his type Is NOT far and few in between.
He is aging, and passed his prime.

Being a Knick fan I can sympathize,I am happy the knicks are finally looking decent but how long were they just awful.Keep hope cavs fans at least you don't have Isiah Thomas to make your draft pick, things will look up in about 2 years.

I agree, things will look better in 2 years if the mangement is really committed in doing so and is making smart moves; Although This is the management that let one of the most marketable players in NBA History slip through their fingers, and sign with another team.

You can't blame management (even though I'm not a fan of Gilbert and most of the FO). LeBron was deadset on playing with his buddies...there was virtually nothing the Cavs could've done.

As much as I'd like to blame management for letting Lebron slip away I think his mind was made up to leave the Cavaliers awhile ago.Management in Cleveland always tried to provide Lebron with a strong supporting cast but it just never worked out.I think with a number one pick in this years draft and a decent free agent signing in the off season they can at least be competitive.

Yes, His mind was probably made up. BUT no saying that the right words or people could have changed his mind. History tells great players generally stay with their drafted or original teams, at least until they are past their prime, and aging veterans until the team decides to trade, I really think that had a role or play on lebrons decision as well. He has mentioned that several times, "Who's to say the Cavs wouldnt have let me go or done the same to me after my time, or later in my career. He also said If they let me go or traded me I wouldnt have been sour burning Cavaliers Jerseys and making statements. so Just by those comments I am almost sure that those thoughts has crossed his mind, and at least played a small role or process in his decision.
A little off subject but, hard to bring up the cavs and not talk about LBJ. We should stop. Cavs are their own now..lol

I'm convinced if the Cavs don't beat Washington this season that they won't win another game..seriously
