To charge $16 for shipping being on the same continent without insurance is just not okay. He was probably unsatisfied with the final sale and figured he'd made a few bucks on overcharging shipping costs.

If I sell a redemption I encourage the buyer to let me email them the code, and I don't charge any shipping on the item, as it is basically free to send an email. if they also want the redemption card I will mail it out but only at the regular rate of $2.99. Emailing the code is beneficial because I have a date and time stamped sent email that proves they got the item they paid for. Also, if the item did get lost in the mail the it would be gone, email can be resent. anyways, I think you did the right thing and the seller should have worked with you to make it right.

This is totally true, but most people that win my redemptions however want the card. I think it has something to do with the tactile contact with the effect you get by scratching your own code...... Touchy feely people out there!

Well look at this.. looks like the seller didn't want bad feedback after all... I agreed to email the redemption code if I'd pay right away and revert the feedback. Which I agreed to... The card has been redeemed and were all happy!
