I hear Edmonton keeps asking for Schenn from LA but has been told no, so now they're asking for Wayne Simmonds, 1st Round Pick, and a prospect for Hemsky. Too much?

He may have been slightly over-payed, but I had no problem with Rozy on D.
Oh man, don't get me started on Holik.

In my opinion, no he's not. But Edmonton is in no rush to move him. He's under contract until the end of next season (I believe), so maybe that's factoring in but still..... Since Edmonton is in no rush, they won't take the best deal on the table, they'll just keep him until they get what they want or move him for the best deal at next years trade deadline.

Hemsky is first line talent, plays a near Point-Per-Game pace.
If the Oilers take back Simmonds (a 3rd liner), a 1st (which will be in the 20th overall range) and a Prospect (I guess one not named Schenn) IMO they're getting too little.
Put it this way - If Schenn turns into an 70 point per 82 game player.... he's not as good (offensivly) as Hemsky is.
My gutt tells me that the only way this deal gets done, is if the return for Hemsky is:
Schenn
One of Thomas Hickey, Colten Teubert, Vyacheslav Voynov, or Derek Forbort
One of Simmonds, Clifford, 1st Round Pick, 2nd Round Pick
(Which one from that second 'or' list depends on who goes from the first one).
Is that too much? The Oilers would be getting either 2 maybes + a 3rd liner, or 3 maybes..... for an All Star, and it's an All Star they're in no rush to move.
Maybe I'm the crazy one here - but if Tambo lets Hemsky go for anything less, I think he's crazy.
(That being said, if the deal were expanded so that Khabibulin was going with him, and Bernier was coming back.... I'd back down on the 'Schenn must be part of it' and look for 2-3 assets from the rest of the list along with Bernier)
