WM9 was ok not the best by a long shot, it was kinda crappy for hogan to get the title shot........it should have stayed on Bret, or with Yoko......now I will have to say i have always been a big fan of Bret he is one of the top 3 wrestlers of the 90's to me.........and never even as a kid understood the hogan and hulkamania bug, and to this day I like em even less cuz he needs to GO away and let younger and better talent shine, and regardless of what Hogan says he would be NOTHING without Piper

I didn't have much of a problem with Bret dropping it to Yoko, who was way over as the mega-heel at the time. Hot-shotting it to Hogan, though, that one reeked, as did the scrambly plan to drop it back to Yoko at KOTR '93 when it became clear that he wasn't going to lay down for Bret at SummerSlam. Ah well, whatcha gonna do?

yeah I found it funny how it only took Hogan a boot to the face and a leg drop and Yoko was down for the count lol. Hogan had like 45 mins of fame that night with beefcake and jimmy hart after their match against IRS and Dibiase, there was no need to be a part of the main event...

But that was/is a Hogan thing........take wm8 when it was a double main event Hogan/Sid and Flair/Savage..........and no dis to Sid but Sid/Hogan is barely a mid card match, and of all things to put Hogan in a main event when his star was falling(as proof of the canned reaction from RR92).....

I dont get all the Hogan haters here??? End of the day this is pro-wrestling. Mcmahon brought back Hogan in 93 for Wrestlemania 9, and McMahon wanted the title on him. Why? because Hart couldnt carry the company like Hogan did.
Hogan obviuosly wasnt a great technical wrestler like hart,benoit,hennig...etc. but he put bums on seats, sold out arenas, killed it with merchandise, and made the WWF/E a world wide brand. Like it or not its true.
So if vinny came up with the poor script that followed at WM9, what was Hogan supposed to do?? Not become champ again?? Every wrestler every single wrestler would have done the same thing.
Bret is just a miserable whining (who I loved as teen) but is so full of himself its frustrating. Jealousy boys thats all it is. Hogan practically mainevented the 1st 9 wrestlemanias, and stole the show almost 10 years later at 2 others.
Even I can not believe the turn in the crowd vs The Rock.
Hogan did what all the others couldnt and still cant......everyone savage, flair, hart, austin, rock, hhh and cena.
sorry guys hate it but its the truth.
    hogan is pro-wrestling.

This is true in some aspects. But had it not been for Piper back in the 80's Hulkamania would have never got of the ground. and Hogans pop started to hit the skids in late '91 which was why he was allowed to walk in 92....and it was Hogan in 93 begging Vince for the title on the promise he would drop it back at summerslam 93, and once he was given the belt he refused to do the job which is why it went back to yoko at kotr '93 and Hogan Jimmy and Brutus were fired right after........so I can see why Bret would be upset, and Hogan once way 2 much credit for being the face of wrestling it takes two to tango.

Trust me, Hogan was coming up with the scripts back then JUST AS MUCH as McMahon was lol. Hogan was his bread and butter at the time and Terry is a business man, he knew what clauses were in his contract and you can choose not to believe it but in the early 90's, the only guy who he EVER put over was Warrior and he didn't even want to do that. He had more say in angles than your giving him credit for.

and what would that be? Look it up, Austin sold more merchandise than Hogan ever did. And why isn't HBK in that list? Because you know that he revolutionized the industry? Something that Hogan himself was trying to drive into the ground in the late 90's. Yes Hogan (along with other guys who don't get enough credit) pioneered the company in the late 80's and early 90's but not all of the things your saying are facts. I agree 110% with brandonbarnett's comments about Piper. One more thing...Hogan didn't make the WWF/WWE, Vince and his staff did, the same people who created Hulkamania.

Begging?? cmon?? Mcmahon does what he wants when he wants. All this talk of the bret hart match is according to who? bret? do we know it as fact?

Also how long what bret the top face for in wwe?? maybe 2 years? then shawn had a stint then austin. He is just bitter that he had more in ring talent than hogan but didnt lace his shoes up as a superstar of the biz.fullstop. and bret is not the only one.

You have to think, back in that time McMahon was a different younger person. He didn't over say alot of his bigger talent. Now a days nobody tells McMahon what to do but that didn't change until after the whole Montreal Screwjob went down. Hogan could have told Vince that he wanted to own the company of Vince would have make an agreement with him lol...why do you think he rehired Warrior 3 times after he stood his match up to get more money and politic'd in the back?

thats right he WAS his bread and butter, thats why he earned the right to dictate how something went down. the others DIDNT have what hogan had.......thats why bret got screwed for example (he thought he had a lifetime contract, but in the end vinnie didnt think he was worth it) Mchmahon kept bring hogan back, why?? If he didnt need him for WM8 WM9 why did he bring him back? wrestling was dead in the mid to late 90s. D-E-A-D. guess who brought it back again?? Hogan in the WCW. dont hate the player boys hate the game. sorry guys no one is bigger than wrestling than what hulk is, i know it might be hard to take but its the truth. Austin how long was he on top for??? 3 years tops.... shawn ? 2 years rock?? maybe 3. wrestling is not what it used to be...every guy in the locker room has been champ these days.
