they could also not write game used on the card when it clearly is not game used.

They didn't write Game Used. Like Ranford pointed out the set is called "UD Game Jerseys."

Now I'll side with everyone in that I'd prefer game-used over event-used for the obvious reasons, but again like Ranford pointed out... it really doesn't matter to me, in that I can't tell game used from event used.

I always wondered why they didn't just call them "worn jerseys" and then we'd never know.

Maybe UD should wait until the year after to release RC cards of players so they can have actual game used jerseys? Of course they could also not write game used on the card when it clearly is not game used.

then it wouldn't be a rookie card.

Event used and photo shoot cards are pure garbage. The quality of the memorabilia is extremely significant to a card's appeal.

    Exactly.

This is why I enjoy ITG cards so much more.

I agree with this (and Ranford) completely. I can't tell until I look at the back, so I don't reall truly care.

I hear ya. The quality of the memorabilia in ITG cards is top-notch. It seems that collectors have lowered their standards in order to accept the sub-par memorabilia that Upper Deck constantly churns out. If ITG could make real game-used rookie jersey cards when they had a license, why can't UD? It's actually quite disgraceful that Upper Deck seems content to keep pumping out crap instead of improving their memorabilia. I bet it's only a matter of time before they just buy a whole load of Sport Chek jerseys and start inserting them into their cards instead of event used memorabilia.
