major sadness over edge.
I have been a big fan of edge since his debut, over 15 years ago. I have watched he grow from a green as grass rookie into a straight up legend and a instant HOF'er. This is a personal feeling and I know some of you will feel differently. But I think he should be held with the like a ric flair or steamboat or savage. Hell he was never the face of the wwe, he was often the backbone. from changing the idea of the the ladder match to defining what being Mr money in the bank meant.
The man is a 7 time world heavy weight champion , 4 time WWE champion, 14 time tag champ, 5 time intercontinental Champion, 1 time United States Champion. With with countless over accolades including King of the ring winner (2001) Mr. Money in the bank winner (2005) and in (2007) he cashed in Mr kennedy's Money in the back to regain the world title against the undertaker. He also Returned in to the wwe in 2010 after a torn Achilles tendon to win the royal rumble. Even in an era when people win and lose titles every pay per view, the number of title adam copeland has won is staggering.
i am just happy that he is able to walk away healthy. and preparing to live live a normal life.
my hope for Edge is to take a year or two well deserved years off for the grind. Get healthy recharge his batteries. and Return turn the wwe as ether a behind the scenes guys. Like an agent or and a mouth piece for a young wrestler. Because as great as Edge was in the ring, he was better on the mic. His mind for the business is amongst the best. and hopefully he will be able to continue to be involved with the wwe in some form.
edge will be missed.

He's going to star in a film later this year I think so that's cool he has something lined up already. One of the best WWE have ever had, been a fan since I was 14!

Yeah, but he will never again wrestle. WWE lost a major superstar to bring in the fans now. One by one the top dogs are falling.

I liked Edge and all, but just in my opinion, I never held him in the same company as Taker/Cena even SuperOrton in his time...He was an 11 time WWE champion but had to many short and forgettable reigns, i'll remember him for being 1/6th of the best ladder match i had ever seen (Wrestlemania) though, and his 2001-03 stuff with guys like Angle was gold.
Edge was never really a draw..he was a face for like 6 months in the past 7 years or so..He's over with the fans though, and is leaving a huge gap on Smackdown where we're stuck with Big Show and Rey Mysterio as the 'biggest' stars of the show, which is unfortunate.
And like duwal said, he's just retiring..its not the end of the world..and yes I read the threadHidden Content
