    River Flooding

Probably not the right place to post this, but the river that runs through our city is currently flooding it's banks higher then usual. Suppose to be a bad bad year for flooding. Here's a picture with what we're dealing with already with it expected to get worse.

Winterpeg I'm assuming? You better start storing the cards up in the attic to protect them. It would suck if your man-cave is in the basement.

Little further west down the highway in Brandon, some of the surrounding towns have been hit worse so far, there's one where in a park the flood water is half way covering a stop sign...... But I don't need to work about it, i'm miles and miles away from the river :) and yes it does make driving around town a mess haha

Hey Tyson, actually, I'm a GTA guy. Nowhere near the flooding.
Why does it seem that Manitoba has a flood story like this every 5 years or so? And BAD flooding, too. Flooding that makes houses disappear... far too. What Californians fear in earthquakes and wild fires, what the midwest fear in Tornadoes, Manitoba fears in floods. Unavoidable it would seem. Good luck with it all, man. If it's just starting, as you say, hopefully you don't get a crap load of rain this week!

it's snowed the last few days and is really cloudy and was starting to snow about an hour ago. It's crazy. We don't normally get hit quite this bad, as this is suppose to be a like one in a century type flood. Brandon was more prepaid then the smaller towns around us
