yeah, russell's game play was definitely fun to watch and in just playing the game to get to the finals was good, but he failed to play the game to get votes. Had it been an AI type competition he probably would have won as the viewers seem to love him... obvious why with the way he found hidden idols and orchestrated blind sides while being in the minority after merges. Getting to that point was definite great game play, but narrow minded not thinking about getting votes to win. Although had he not played his game he probably wouldn't had made it that far, so at least he gave himself a chance.
as for the philip thing, like jeff said at tribal, no one can know what history brings into any type of conflict, but I didn't personally see where the talk of crazy had any sort of racial undertones.

Grant's gotta take a couple of those chicks and make a move to get rid of Rob....otherwise Rob's gonna coast to a million bucks.

Russell could have won back to back seasons if only he could have hid his ARROGANCE. Players respect great game play and would have voted for him if he wasn't ........... well ..... RUSSELL!

I wonder exactly when they will try to break off. Maybe they are sitting tight until redemption is finally done. I can't see it going too many more times.

agree 100%. from the reunions it sounded that around camp russell was way full of himself and his play. A little bit of humility seems to go a very long way in this game. Cockiness won't get you very far when trying to get love from your fallen competitors.
I still find it funny that the idiots threw a challenge to get rid of russell and basically gave away any chance they have in the game... unless one of them goes on a huge win streak at the immunity challenges.

The Federal Agent, Philllliiipppp, needs to leave now! Especially after those dumb speeches about race and the use of the N word! Seriously? C'mon dude! I like Philip, but not now after last night's episode.

Yeah, His race card play was a bit over the top. The only thing is, he keeps making himself the perfect guy to take to the finals. At this point anyone who is playing the game to win would take him along. He's annoyed so many people and goes off on rambling speeches he surely wouldn't get many votes in the finals.

but he did nothing as far as the social aspect of the game (and admitted during the second reunion show that he didn't care about that part of it) and that is one of the biggest parts of the game. You are not a great player if you don't put effort into one of the strategies needed to win the game. Without that he never had a chance of winning it even with getting far in the game. Thats one of the biggest points in Survivor. You need to take people out of the game without doing it in a way that would hurt or ™™™™ them off. He did it in a careless and wreckless way that cost him and he never learned from that. The game of Survivor is about convincing people to vote for you at the end not chopping peoples heads off to get to be one of the 3 at the endLast edited by duwal; 04-21-2011 at 02:49 PM.
