Panini Redemption RANT!!!!

Okay I've been waiting since last September on the card above. On January 11th, I messaged Panini and received a response,

"We are currently waiting on the autographs from James Worthy. We will ship them out as soon as we receive them in stock. Thank you for your time and have a great day!"

I thought awesome as soon as James Worthy auto's become available I'll have my card.

They actually inserted his auto's into 2010-11 Classics.

So I call Panini and they said it's up to the players discretion when they sign the card. I said okay so it's an on card auto? She said no, I'm not saying that, I'm saying when we get his auto in we'll send it out immediately. I then said well you inserted them into 2010-11 Classics. She then put me on hold for 10 minutes then said someone will call me back.

A week goes by no call. So I call back. I think I get the same girl I talked to before. She basically said the same thing. I said then why did I receive a message back in January that you are just waiting on James Worthy auto's to become available. She said that basically if auto's come in and they are schedule to be in the new product they will be put in the new product. I said why not do a redemption and fulfill your redemptions from before. Sorry that's a different department. She said do you want a replacement. I said no! I am waiting for this card. How long before I get this card. She said there's no ETA, when we get it we get it. I go wait you can't say when we'll get our card but you put expirations on the redemptions?

Now I'm just feeling like they'll never make this card. Ugh so mad!!!

I would do a replacement but as a Lakers collector this card is more valuable than most cards. Oh and another thing they go by beckett value. She said the replacement should be around Beckett value. ™™™!? I could care less what Beckett says my card is worth, we all go by SV here, for the most part. And to me as a Lakers collector: MAgic, Kareem, Worthy is kinda priceless to me, well not really but still.

Heard countless stories of how Panini hasn't fulfilled their redemptions and their customer service is wack. When do Topps and Upper Deck come back?

I was at my LCS and blindly gambled with the owner who sold me a Decade Dominance Signatures #3 redemption for $5.00
Just got home, checked Beckett and#3 is Wilt Chamberlain!!!
Crap thing is, there is no #3 in Signatures just the base/parallel set.
I wonder how Panono will handle this?!

But The funny thing is Magic, Kareem and Worthy are all pretty common in the sticker auto's. It really shouldn't be hard for this one!

I think your card is Lenny Wilkens. Wilt was #3 in '09-'10 Decade Dominance, and there is no Signatures version from him. (It would be sort of tough for him to sign.) Wilkens is #3 in '10-'11 Decade Dominance.

brutal. I can't stand waiting for redemptions to be fulfilled. And then they have the guts to insert his autos into NEW products? That's just a slap in the face for real.

I delt with a similar problem with Upper Deck. I put in a redemption for an 08-09 UD Black Kareem/Oscar Robertson Gold Dual Auto #/5. They were waiting for Oscar Robertson to sign. Two years later I ended up going with a replacement card and one of the cards they sent me was an 08-09 UD Black Oscar Robertson Championship auto patch. I'm thinking he finally signed cards from the exact same year and set but couldn't sign mine
