Autos Through E-mails Success Thread

got a letter in the mail with a cardboard, fille folder with nothing inside. On the outer form for declaring the item sent it said a photo......... Kinda dissapointed waited over 2 months for this one from someone I really enjoy.

Looks like we are coming to an end of an era! There was a time not too long ago that you could get most college coaches autographs with nothing more than an email request. I went through and attempted about 30 college basketball coaches the other day. I was shocked with the emails that came back to me. I heard from personal assistants telling me that they no longer do that type of thing. I heard from community relations people to follow a link to submit permission to mail to coach and then after it is ok you can provide item and return postage ( those were the good ones!) I was told of $25 fees for charity for a coaches signature. It was amazing. I did get a few positive emails saying that I had an auto on the way, but wow was I shocked at how that part of this hobby has changed! Should I be lucky enough to get a few in I will post them!

I've started to tone down the amount I've sent. Actually, it's probably been a month since I sent an email out. There are a few I still want to contact, but I've been busy with other stuff. The fact that even coaches at smaller schools require a fee is what is keeping me from emailing.

Recieved one of my best email requests ever today! Jeff Foxworthy! Personalized 8x10 photograph! Thrilled with this one! I checked the address book in both of my normal email accounts and I did not save his email address? I can add this with the email success from Ron White a few years ago and have one half of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour! Two down and two to go! I am one proud Redneck today!

i filled out a couple of these request forms and then a few weeks later i got denial letters

Actually after some denial emails I have had a nice few day from college coaches! Two more auto 8x10's today!
