Screwed by Topps...Again
I have to take the blame for being foolish enough to even buy their products. Reputation made me think they were still somehow capable of producing quality cards. Silly me. I will never buy another one of their products again. Here is the latest:
Redemption Card:

And in the mail today...

Understand it's not even a single-patch card, it's a jersey swatch all the way. Oddly enough, the back of the card matches the verbiage on the redemption card, which differs from the front of the card:

Honestly, Topps is a complete disgrace. They'll be getting a call from me on Monday, but I really do not expect them to replace 740 cards. Maybe they'll made a half-hearted attempt to throw a bone, but I have little confidence in their ability to correct this.

Well not necessarily, They do have multi-Color patches in the version that you have, I recently pulled a Ryan Howard Auto/Jersey which has the same wording as yours, So i searched Ebay and found only a few with multi-color patches so thats just how it goes unfortunately.
Here is the version i got but this one has 2 colors...

The base autos were just jerseys, but the boilerplate on all the relic/autos is "multi-color relic/patch."

I received the package Friday after business hours so you can bet I'll be calling them Monday. A company that had any care or concern about customers would have been proactive in addressing the issue, such as sending along a note or something with the card. To screw up the card for whatever reason, then just send out something of much lower value just shows an attitude of indifference. They don't care that they screwed up and are going to disappoint customers. Never again.

Probably better off emailing them and sending the scans. They are impossible to get a hold of on the phone. I agree though topps has several issues with redemptions.

Opened an online complaint with Topps (as they do not answer phones or return messages). I did receive a response back from them pretty quickly, but was basically told to go pound sand. They said it was a printing error and that I received the right card. They refuse to replace the card.
Like I said earlier, I will never spend another dime on any of their products. To those of you that continue to support them, best of luck to you. I know they're the only game in town right now and quitting Topps basically means leaving the hobby. Just know that they have absolutely no regard for you as a collector and will do nothing to correct a problem. I would suggest writing letters to MLB and demand to get Panini or UD to get re-licensed. Until that time, you've been warned....

Around 2001 or 2002 I bought a box of Topps Total. Inside I received a redemption card for a Ernie Banks Auto. At that time, that would have been the best card in my collection. I sent it in, and two months later I get a package from Topps. Excited, I opened the package and inside there was a note from Topps saying they ran out of Ernie Banks cards to fulfill my redemption, but I should be pleased with my replacement...a signed card of Dick Allen.
Even since then I haven't really been surprised by how horribly Topps treats their customers.
