I think everyone is also forgetting the other end of the equation.... this does add extra value for ALL of the cards.

Richard is right: 5% isn't a fluke number.

In theory, 50% of all these masks cards could make their way back to the manufacturer... Guess What? Those of us still holding the cards that didn't get sent back now own cards that are much rarer than they should be.

Instead of Price Mask card /340, now it's a Mask card /170 (assuming all the GU cards get redeemed).



I can't believe that anyone is upset about this. All the literature leading up to this release indicated there were Emerald versions /340.... and said nothing about 1-of-1s. They made a huge printing error - but have done something to add more value to the cards (and thus the product) than originally planned. First time (in my recollection) that a card company made an error AND offered to exchange them for something.

Honestly - if you bought a box of BTP and pulled a few of these error cards - are you out anything? Didn't we all get exactly what was advertised? Yeah, saying "one-of-one" on the back instead of "one-of-340" might be odd, but I really don't see the big deal.

I agree that, when busting a box...its doesn't change much, ITG are trying to make up and OFFER a advantage that we wouldn't have usually

Looks like I'm keeping my only Howard, there's no way I'm getting 17 together. I'd rather have one as a reminder of ITG's screw up, plus wouldn't everyone sending in 17 make the one I have more rare?

Not impress by the redemption program. Who will gather 17 of the same player. If you do and have to pay for them, imagine how much a jersey produce to 10 to repair a error will cost you. I am not going to run to buy more card and start a bidding war to get 17 cards...

I rather keep my money and buy some other carey price jersey at pr/10, the number (17) is way to high.

Or you could pick up a 1/1 showcard.

ummm the problem WAS some people paid 50 bucks and up for them when they first came out, some people kept ripping thinking they hit a goldmine.
That's a huge marketing problem. Its also funny that people think if you hold onto these cards numbered to 340 they are going to be more valuable. What the price is going to rise from 4$ to $4.25?
