Okay, i just watched the press thing they had today and grant explained the deal with the 32nd pick. he said that at that point they felt that the team was too large to get another pick, ESPECIALLY WITH LOOKING AT FREE AGENCY. He says that he feels there is a better oppurtunity to get players for the position they need in free agency.
SO i really like where he went with this and completely agree. This also means that they will probably be making somewhat large move(s) into free agency this year and may actually get postitions we need - SG SF C.
If they pick up another PF i will start a petition to kill Chris Grant.

I'm content that we are bringing Hollins back for another year. He is another player that looked much better when Baron arrived. He is our only true center on the roster, and he is one of the most athletic 7 footers you will find. One more year won't hurt him, especially if he and Baron can continue the chemistry they had going.

Good draft for the Jazz, they filled their needs with a big man and a scorer.

I think Hollins is HORRIBLE i dont think we should of brought him back. He use to get bullied down low and get mad and make stupid fouls. He didnt even average a block per game last yr. and maybe 6 pts. a game.

I agree. he doesn't have much going for him, other than that he can dunk/give hard fouls. Varejao can cover that hard fouling part, and pretty much any guy in FAs that we can pick up with size can dunk.

We didn't decide to bring him back, he decided to come back. There was an option in his contract where he could leave early, but he decided to stay. But you guys have to admit that Ryan looked much better when Baron came. I'm not saying Ryan is an above average center, because he isn't even average in my opinion as far as his all-around skill-set, but there are worse centers out there, and those guys get paid even more than Ryan. He thrived off of playing with Baron because he is more athletic than your average center. I think the improvement he showed after we got Baron is enough to give him one more look.
