Search Turned off temporarily
Search (My threads, my posts and other search options) has been turned off for the time being. SCF is getting hit hard by multiple sources and I need to turn off some resources to ensure we are up in running. After investigating the issue and figuring out a solution search will be back fully.

Looks like the increase in users here after Becketts fall out may have caused some bandwidth issues. Might need to increase the services for the site, which I know first hand is expensive.
From my point of view, since I use to run a vbullentin forum for a number of years, Ebay auctions profile and user albums could be taking up quite a bit of space. Maybe just limiting the number of photos in the albums could help, or completely turning it off. Which will put some of your PHP skills to the test.
Now depending on how much the arcade gets used, might be another option. Its great to have the arcade and all, but for the sake of this great site to keep running, it might be another viable option.

Is this one of the problems that is not allowing me to connect at some times? The site just never loads sometimes when I try to get on, but I can connect to any other sites at regular speed.

My best guess is he is working on the site. Has it shut down for a period of time while he uploads or performs the updates.

But most of the time when Mike does updates for longer than a few minutes he posts something letting everyone know. Plus, the updates are usually during the early morning hours of the morning, and not at 10pm.

Hmm dont know about that then, because I normally do not have any problems then. I usually get some lag around 2am CST.

I've had some problems connecting as well for the past couple of days. It's been off and on, but annoying nonetheless!!

I was stuck yesterday. I got a page saying the site couldn't load, but it gave an email to contact, which I did, and I got a very quick response - the site was back loading after just a couple of minutes.

Hopefully it comes back soon. I've been trying to find threads that I posted on and stuff that I need to check back and follow up with and I'm having a devil of a time trying to keep up with everything ... lol.
Please bring the searches back .... lol. Please, please, pretty please? Thanks.

If you click on UserCP, it will bring up any threads that has had replies made on it that you posted on since the last time you logged in...
