Records Are Made To Be Broken - Record #23!
Thanks to tarheelsnipe for the suggestion of this record, and more importantly, the suggestion of using this as record #23!
Record: Most consecutive games scoring 10 points or more - Michael Jordan, 842 consecutive games
Will it ever be broken? Vote, and explain your reasoning! Please vote based on whether it'll happen in our lifetimes or not - noone knows what'll happen in 500 years!

What happens if you miss a game or two because of injury, would the streak end? Either way, that is an insane record, but I think that it is possible to be broken. Lebron still has a lot of basketball left to play, and it is very rare that he scores less than 20 a game, of course we don't know how productive he will be in 10-15 years, but I still think that it could happen.

842 games. That's 10-1/2 seasons of double digit scoring every game. Consecutive games. No way.

I guess it could be done, but it'd be pretty hard. LeBron's only scored under 10 points in a game twice since the middle of his rookie season....depending on how the actual record went, he's at 248 right now if you include Playoff games, and don't stop the streak when he doesn't play.

No, absolutely not, not even an icecubes chance in you-know-where. 10+ seasons of scoring 10+ points in every game...noone will ever be able to duplicate what Jordan was able to accomplish.

I thnk it could be broken if you don't get injured.

ifs....
If you don't get injured during a game for 10+ seasons
If you don't get sick with "flu-like" symptoms for 10+ seasons
If you don't have a miserably poor shooting performance for 10+ seasons
If you don't have a great defender that can shut down your offense for 10+ seasons
If you are never taken out of a game by the coach because of a lopsided game for 10+ seasons.
Too many factors. This is like Joe Dimaggio's hitting streak multiplied by 10.
and the streak for games actually played including playoffs. If you don't play during the entire game, obviously you'll never make it onto the box score.Last edited by tarheelsnipe; 08-21-2009 at 12:20 PM.
