This year he'd be treated like a pile of crap.....and next year when Halak was superb for 60-65 games he would be treated like a genious....Not gonna happen though....marketing rules the league....Price is paid more and he's the poster boy for Montreal....gotta have him in net. Same as in Ottawa...Mike Brodeur has deserved a spot in the rotation, but the demands of paying high salary goaltenders who flop....Leclair...forces you to play him and TRY to get your money's worth.

Halak should declared the #1 goalie for Montreal! He has outplayed Price this year and his stats prove he deserves to be a #1 goalie in the NHL. Go a look at Halak's stats vs Price's stats. Save percentage is the big key stat I look at when comparing goalies. When Halak is making 45 saves on 47 shots every night it seems he should be #1. I'd take Halak in net for the Leafs if Montreal doesn't want him anymore.

    Our two latest offerings:

    1. Pierre Lebrun said during the Hotstove that Gainey has been talking to Dallas for the past couple of weeks about a goalie swap. Halak to Dallas in exchange for Marty Turco. I'd want Jamie Benn as part of the deal too.

They mentioned that halak was a possibility to head to dallas, they did not mention that turco was "going" to montreal only that dallas wasn't going to sign him.

I guess we'd look a little silly if we asked for Jeff Carter eh?

i think so but it doesn't hurt to ask, i guess. you never know what a GM will do. maybe the flyers really love halak. and i hear carter isn't a very popular player in the locker room (that's what getting with a teammates wife will do to you)

i'd love to see the kings go after him as we could use a scoring center.

I think my team, your team, and 27 other teams would love to add Jeff Carter to their roster. With the recent injuries to the Kostitsyn boys the lack of depth at forward is really starting to show - difficult to roll all your lines when you only have five top-six forwards.

    Halak, D'Agostini, and a 2nd for Carter!
