People who grade cards who aren't keeping them and are going to sell them, I don't understand why do they do that? I HATE that, theres a few cards I actually wanted but then I see that they were graded. Sheesh, fools

I tried this to come up with some cash to buy a few high end cards and I took it in the shorts on this one, most cards on ebay do not grade 9.5's as they are near mint. I got one roethlisberger to grade 9.5 and all the rest 11 cards grade 8.5-9 making them less valuable. I cracked them out of their cases and re-sold them at almost what i paid for them. Barely broke even after all the grading fees and waiting for the cards to get back from Beckett.

You want to make some extra money, then get a part time job dude. Why do you have to ruin a card for me or someone else that doesn't want the card to be graded and why in the world a card costs more because it is graded is totally BEYOND me. I'm sure I'm not alone on this subject.

if its my card then why cant i do what i want with it? and im sure theres alot of collectors out there that dont feel the same as you so it may be ruining it for you but enhancing it for them. heres my opinion... if you dont like graded cards then dont get them. why does it have to be a big deal that people grade cards? also it doesnt really matter if you understand why graded cards are worth more or not cause its a fact that it does improve the value. so i say if you do your research and grade the right cards you could make a little extra money. and for your info ( not that its any of your buisness where or how i get my money ) i work 12 hour days 6 days a week.

Read all the previous posts in this thread. I think theres a bold line between people who like graded cards and dislike them. I'm not the only one in this thread first of all. Secondly, ummm yea I've never bought a graded card because I don't like them. I'm pretty sure I wrote something to that affect earlier in this thread. So why you bring this up to me, I don't know, unless you think I'm a moron?
Do you really believe JUST because a card is GRADED that it SHOULD up it's value? So, you're trying to tell me if I get a Kwame Brown SP Authentic autograph rookie card graded that this card now should cost more? Why?
Let me tell you in my entire basketball card collection, I HAVE 2 graded cards. They both were graded a 9.5. Why did I grade them? #1 because I knew they would get a high grade and were pretty much flawless and #2 the more important I'M NOT GOING TO RESELL THEM TO MAKE AN EXTRA BUCK. I'm keeping them forever. Why would I want to hurt another fellow collector's pocket?
Lastly for your information, you're the 1 who said you would want to do this to make an extra buck. Sounds like you need another job cuz it's not cutting it if you wanna be 1 of these people who are in cards just for a buck. I despise these people who ruin my favorite hobby. I never cared how many hours a week you work and why you brought that up I don't know. Sounds like you took this far too personally as I was simply stating my opinion.
