This being my first year back into the hobby, after being our for nine(was lightly active three years ago though), I had made a commitment to buy at least one box of everything in 09-10, plus put a few sets together. From that you could probably get a sense of how much I'm spending.
As far as buying singles. Luck would have it, I have one heck of a dealer here, that, and I will recommend thouroughly to visit in Saskatoon is Penn's. I have purchased tons of card from him, for way less than I would have if I ever tried ebay, and have cards in hand right now. Dude has a huge inventory, and will deal. Not like the hack's I just visited in Edmonton.Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd
***Doing some massive updating. Please be patient!***

Last year I spent $8 472 228.16 on cards. Buying wax and bulk collections. But I run a store so I don't think it counts. I do make money from the hobby but I work at it. I work at least 12 hours a day sometimes as much as 20 hours a day selling and orginazing 7 days a week. It is very difficult to make a living with the hobby you just really have to love it.
