Nope. More people want his TRUE RC (for base set purpose) more than parallel RC. Very few people want to build a parallel set with low number. You will resell more when tt is very hard to find low number stuff in 10 years later.

I was not implying that you follow Beckett too literally - no offense intended, just a fact that many people do. No reason to be angry or condescending. Please don't take what I said too literally or personally. I was not entirely serious about the Bible part myself(half-joking)I never said or meant you specifically. You asked for help and we are trying to help you out here and share our experience. I have been collecting for a long time - maybe too long(many years on and off)
Most people refer to a price guide - that price guide always being Beckett when they refer to the value of a card (thus the Bible reference) and most (or at least many) people want to trade by BV exclusively. I have done that in the past but BV may be the same as true sale value(or more) on one card but miles apart on another. It is unfortunate that you are a little upset or unhappy because the BV (guide) is not as much as you thought it would be. You probably did get a very good deal as he is a popular player who many people collect, as you know.
Beckett tries but they are often inaccurate and out of date - with so many different card products (maybe too many) it is understandably difficult. I still think they could do a much better job though. I am often frustrated or a little surprised by Beckett, just as you are. However, they can still be useful at times, as you say.
I understand your point and scarcity about the parallels but while you have a point it is not a direct relationship. With base cards parallels are worth more, with the scarcer they are the more they are worth though not necessarily in equal ratios.
xavieronly made a good point about the base RCs. I like to put together sets which is partly why many people would prefer the base RC(true RC), as opposed to the lower #ed parallel RC.Last edited by wrafman; 02-11-2010 at 10:33 AM.
