I don't like to compare kobe and lebron. U gotta understand your comparing a power forward to a guard. There playing styles are totoally different. Your also comparing a player thats starting to decline to a player thats at his peek. Kobe is better right now, but lebron is better than kobe was at this point in his career. Lebron isn't better he is just more exciting. He has young legs. Kobe has been plagued by injuries the last few seasons, and it's really slowed him down. If your going to start a team with one player to win a championship now, it's kobe. If u want someone to take the game winning shot, it's kobe. If u want a team leader, it's kobe not lebron. Thats why kobe is the better player right now. Lebron is one of those rare talents u only see in sports every 50 years. Like wilt chamberlain or jim brown. Some who changes the game. The real test for lebron will be when injuries and age set in. Don't forget he is 6'8 and between 260 and 270. There will be a time when he has to totally revamp his game to a more pedestrian style.

Kobe got three rings with Shaq - that is correct. Then the Lakers shipped (traded) Shaq off to Miami. Miami won a ring in their second season with Shaq(due mainly to Wade). Miami then shipped Shaq off to Phoenix (Arizona) where he was last season until this year when he went to the Cavs.
I think the person after you misread your post a little.
Kobe got his last ring last year with Pau Gasol (while Shaq was in Arizona), who the Lakers basically stole from the Grizzlies, who wanted to dump salary and rebuild.
GFOX - good points - hard to compare because they are at different stages of their career. I still think Lebron is a little better though overall (he was given the MVP last year).Last edited by wrafman; 02-14-2010 at 12:45 PM.
