Good point - that is the only area where I give Kobe the edge (besides experience of course). While Lebron has had several buzzer beaters, including some in the playoffs, Kobe is more well-known for his late-game heroics, including with Team USA in the recent Olympics final(e).

Right now in the NBA.....
Lebron James, he's a walking triple double.
Kobe is on the last quarter of his career. But I would take Kobe to take the last shot in the game still.

Lebron hasn't had nowhere near the same type of players around him as Kobe has had. I would go with Lebron at the moment, Kobe seems to be a bit more about getting records and milestones, whereas Lebron just wants to win and does whatever it takes to win. Whether if its scoring 40, or dishing out 10 plus assists, or grabbing boards, he can do it all.

Lebron...he's always been more of a team player than Kobe...Kobe's become more of a team player in recent years, but Lebron still takes the cake on getting his teammates involved.

I agree that Shaq was the one that made the Lakers 3-peat, but Kobe did carry the Lakers to the last ring. Lebron needs to do the same thing to have this debate.

Don't know if you can really say Kobe carried them, the Lakers weren't big contenders until they got Gasol. Before that, they were a good team, but not a great team
