thanks - the hobby has more than its share of problems. Just trying to make the hobby more enjoyable for myself and others
More great nicknames everyone - I like 'Dr. Dunkenstein' (03-04 UD Legends inscriptions auto's) and "The Goat'. His life was quite interesting. There was an excellent movie about him (one of the best basketball movies ever). I can't remember the name of the actor who played him but I think it was in Ocean's 11(or12/13) and several other big movies(very good actor and movie).
Just thought of one more
'The Mountain Man' - Jahidi White (formerly of the Washington Wizards and a few other teams - don't think he is still in the league)
If you have ever seen this guy you can probably guess why - he is built like a mountain - very solid, thick and strong. Chris Bosh of the Raptors (during his rookie season) ran in to one of the picks that he set ('Welcome to the league, rook') and was knocked backward a few feet and fell down. He may also have been semi-unconscious for a split second.Last edited by wrafman; 02-17-2010 at 12:36 AM.

The best is Ervin "Magic" Johnson.
How many guys do you know who actually lost their real name? Not to mention that "Magic" is completely non-sequitor

Good one. I don't know how I could have forgotten about that one. I think he got that nickname because of the fancy, sometimes no-look passes that he could do which seemed like magic.
One more - he was at the all-star game but he is not an all-star(not even a basketball player). He is 'McLovin'.Last edited by wrafman; 02-18-2010 at 10:24 AM.
