UD Statement Regarding BAP Rookie Redemptions

I think I would be pretty upset if I bought a Tavares redemption expecting to redeem it for a Tavares but getting someone else. Upper Deck has to come up with a solution, most likely parallels like 30ranfordfan said.

I bought a Karlsson redemption and I am pretty sure I am getting Peter Regin, thankfully I like Peter Regin and he is an Ottawa Senator but I still need to get a Karlsson for my collection.

Got my Carl Gunnarsson rc /99 today, was supposed to get Oskars Bartulis don't know if iT makes a difference since I haven't heard of either of these guys lol It will be interesting to see what happens. I really feel for the guys who bought Tavares redemptions.

I don't even buy them now that BAP switched manufacturers back 5-6 years ago. I loved getting a box full of autos. It gave a chance to get some guys that don't get alot of hobby love in terms of how many cards they have out there. This was still pre-sticker auto era. Now I miss hard signed card even more.

does that mean 1 redemtion = 2 cards? or will you have to send back the card you recieved?

hahahaha. There is no way they can get people to send cards back.

What I suggested was - You'll get the Rookie /99 that the code says you do (not what you're supposed to get, but what the mistake says you get) and they'll also send a Parallel of the one you thought you were going to get. It's Easy.....

Make a Gold /60
Make a Silver /25
Make an Emerald /15
Make a Platinum /9

Distribute them randomly, in place of the /99s

Does this really suprise anyone? Its Upper Deck, and from what I am reading, there was a discrepancy with the numbers when the cards were intially redemeed. Could this not have been fixed prior by emails being sent to Upper Deck prior to the cards going live? Upper Deck sand bagged, and its kickin them in the cojones now. Realistically, they could not do a damn thing and people will still buy the product.
